34-year-old Kevin Love is on the radar of multiple teams across the league. The Miami Heat are considered the frontrunners to land his signature. Love gives the team a much-needed backup option for Bam Adebayo.
While this might look like a good deal on paper, ESPN’s Brian Windhorst thinks otherwise. Talking on the Dan Patrick Show, Windhorst spoke about the possibility of a first-round matchup between the Miami Heat and the Cleveland Cavaliers. Moreover, he also asserted that the Cavs will regret sending Love to the Heat during this probable first-round series.
Windhorst said, “Miami has actually had a lot of success against Cleveland this year and that could be a first-round series. The last thing you want if you want the Cavs is to have Kevin Love, you are paying him $30 million this year, he comes in and hits two three-pointers in game four against you. Its not a good look.”
Not only the Heat but the Golden State Warriors and the Los Angeles Lakers have also been linked to Love. LeBron James’ relationship with his former teammate might influence his decision.
