Luka Doncic is one player for the future. Just at 23 years of age, he is one of the most talented players in the league right now. In just his 4th season in the NBA, he has been an All-Star for 3 seasons. Luka has averaged over 20 points in every regular season in his career. He certainly makes you think about LeBron James when he just started playing in the NBA and took everyone by storm.
LeBron and Luka are both game winners and dominant on the court. Their gameplays include being assertive and being upfront with ball possession. Just like LeBron, Luka is also doing this from a young age now. After all, he has publicly said that LeBron was always his favorite player growing up.

Luka is a clutch player just like his idol and if we have seen LeBron in 19 years in the NBA, he always shows up. LeBron always performs. And that has been the feature of Luka during his 4 seasons and 3 playoffs he has featured in. Probably that is why LeBron said that Luka is his favorite player in the league.
Surprisingly, Skip Bayless, who has often clearly opposed LeBron in the GOAT debate, had some words of criticism for Luka during comparisons with LeBron.
Skip Bayless disses (praises?) Luka Doncic in comparison with LeBron James
Skip Bayless called out Luka on her basketball abilities while comparing him to LeBron and comparing their similarities. On the other hand, he also praised Luka for the progression track he has had, which has been steeper than what LeBron had in his early days. Skip Bayless praised LeBron for being as athletic as he is despite being 6?9? and then criticized Luka.
Skip said, ?Can’t jump, can’t run, below average shooter. So he will never enter a dunk contest nor he’ll ever enter the three-point shooting contest and yet we can make a case that if he stays on the arc that, at some point he could be in LeBron’s ballpark in putting up numbers. Because to your point the early numbers and they’re still early on Luka, they indicate seriously he’s going to be a little better scorer than LeBron. He just does. I don’t know how he does it but he just in the playoffs he’s averaging 32.7. Well, it’s a tick above what LeBron has had. I’m trying to be nice about this. LeBron is 28.7 but Luka is 32.5 and if we look at both regular season and playoff career stats as you point out Luka is another level of rebounder.?

Maybe he has some weaknesses in his game that make him different from LeBron, but that is why he is unique. His skill is only going to improve over time and if he continues like this, Luka Doncic can surely be where LeBron James is right now.
