Bad Boys II released in 2003 gave audiences one of the most memorable film sequences in recent history. When Reggie, the apparent boyfriend of Martin Lawrence’s daughter comes to take her out, Lawrence confronts the youngster.
He is then joined by Will Smith who also proceeds to grill Reggie, while asking questions about his age. Smith says, “How old is you? Sh*t n***a you at least 30! Can you fight?”
It seems like a responsible “Daddy” for his daughters, Shaq looks up to this sequence. On the It’s Non-Negotiable podcast, the Los Angeles Lakers legend revealed that he grills his daughter’s boyfriends the same way.
Shaq said, “You want to know what guy I am? This is the guy I am, watch this clip right here. I want you to cut to when Martin and Will Smith brought the guy up. Remember that? That’s the type of guy I am.”
It seems like Shaq has a special place in his heart for his daughters. While his daughters can stay at his house for as long as they want, Big Shaq’s sons have to move out and make a living for themselves.
