The NBA matchups over Christmas have been enthralling, to say the least. The Golden State Warriors’ matchup with the Memphis Grizzlies was one of the highlights of the Christmas Day games. Although the Warriors have been struggling to find form recently in the absence of their centerpiece Stephen Curry, they swept the Grizzlies away by 14 points. Grizzlies star Ja Morant?s performance was not enough to make a dent in the disappointing loss. Meanwhile, Morant and company were trolled by NBA fans in the wake of their storied history with the Dubs.
Dillion Brooks was also the target for many Warriors fans as the match ended, with even a former NBA star taunting him. Brooks? complaints after the game just added insult to injury, letting the fans take another jibe at the Memphis side.

The Warriors decided to end all that talk. They took the JaJumpin Grizzles & reminded them it’s time for their hibernation. Tonight, the team came together, both offensively & defensively. When the Warriors play like this, they are the #1 team in the NBA.

Hahahah Memphis thinking they can show up and win without GS fighting back. Strength in numbers and the mentality of the warriors is real and continues to push them to beat any of their true competition.

The Memphis Grizzlies and the Warriors have been involved in a lot of trash-talking since last season. With an entertaining second-round playoff between the two, there were a lot of jibes thrown around by stars like Ja Morant to rile each other up. Although the Warriors defeated the Grizzlies during the playoffs, the Twitter war was ingrained in their memory.
Klay Thompson vowed to ?retweet the freakin bum? after their 2022 NBA Finals win. Safe to say, there seems to be a new rivalry popping up in the NBA, with an up-and-coming squad pitted against a dynasty. The Memphis Side has looked fearless but they need to be more consistent as they failed to beat a Stephen Curry-less Warriors.
