The NBA matchups over Christmas have been enthralling, to say the least. The Golden State Warriors’ matchup with the Memphis Grizzlies was one of the highlights of the Christmas Day games. Although the Warriors have been struggling to find form recently in the absence of their centerpiece Stephen Curry, they swept the Grizzlies away by 14 points. Grizzlies star Ja Morant?s performance was not enough to make a dent in the disappointing loss. Meanwhile, Morant and company were trolled by NBA fans in the wake of their storied history with the Dubs.

Dillion Brooks was also the target for many Warriors fans as the match ended, with even a former NBA star taunting him. Brooks? complaints after the game just added insult to injury, letting the fans take another jibe at the Memphis side.

The Golden State Warriors’ sweeping of the third-placed Memphis Grizzlies was a surprise for everyone. The Twitterverse came alive as the fans poured in with jibes and criticism at the Grizzlies squad before they could even take a breath.

Former Celtics star Kendrick Perkins joined in the conversation as he took a jibe at Dillon Brooks. The Grizzlies star Dillon Brooks’ performance didn’t impress him and he put out a hilarious tweet for others to follow suit.

The Memphis Grizzlies and the Warriors have been involved in a lot of trash-talking since last season. With an entertaining second-round playoff between the two, there were a lot of jibes thrown around by stars like Ja Morant to rile each other up. Although the Warriors defeated the Grizzlies during the playoffs, the Twitter war was ingrained in their memory.

Klay Thompson vowed to ?retweet the freakin bum? after their 2022 NBA Finals win. Safe to say, there seems to be a new rivalry popping up in the NBA, with an up-and-coming squad pitted against a dynasty. The Memphis Side has looked fearless but they need to be more consistent as they failed to beat a Stephen Curry-less Warriors.

Brooks’ comments after the game added insult to injury for the Grizzly fans

Brooks decided to comment on what he thought was poor officiating from the referees. The Grizzly star claimed the refs made ?F***ed up calls?, a comment which didn?t go well with fans.

Klay Thompson felt the adrenaline in the match as he taunted Brooks in the middle of the game. When questioned about it later he labeled it as ?some good old-fashioned trash-talk?
