The number three overall draft pick, Jabari Smith Jr. spoke a bit about trash-talking. He felt Draymond Green and Ja Morant are some of the best trash talkers in the league. In addition, he admitted a similarity between himself and Kevin Durant.

Coming into the NBA draft, Smith Jr. was a top-three rated prospect. His size and ability to score have drawn major comparisons to the Slim Reaper. A scorer on all three levels, Smith Jr. is ready to take over for the Houston Rockets. In his sole season in Auburn, Smith Jr. was a fierce force. And he let the opposition know. Averaging nearly 17 points and dominating on both ends, he was elite from the very start.

In an interview, he opened up about his trash-talking. And he also dived the best trash talkers in the NBA.

While talking about his own trash talking, Smith Jr. revealed he is never one to initiate. However, once the battle begins, he won’t back down. When it comes to the NBA, he feels Green and Morant are the best at the trash game. And the one man he is staying away from heating up is Kevin Durant.

The Houston Rockets rookie said: “They say Kevin Durant is a real good trash talker, but he’s kind of like that too. Like he won’t say nothing if you don’t say nothing. So, I’m probably just leave him alone. Everybody just leave him alone bro.”

Smith Jr. is learning right from the get-go that it isn’t the greatest choice to give ammo to Kevin Durant. The Slim Reaper is arguably one of the most dangerous offensive beasts on the planet. For KD, he is one of the most elite talkers in the league. Still able to put a nightly 30 points per game, Durant can often back up his talk.
