Harden, who became a legend in his glamorous days with the Houston Rockets had quite a few people around him to help him through. One of them was one of the NBA’s most fiery stars, Patrick Beverley.?
In his rookie years, Patrick Beverley was a part of James Harden and co. or the glamorous Houston Rockets. For his first few years in the NBA, Beverley enjoyed quite the success with The Beard as he made the playoffs in all his four years at H-town, even making the conference finals in his second year.
However, the player that Harden became after his legendary years at the club, can’t all be credited to him, at least according to Beverley. In his recent The PatBev podcast, Beverley explained how The Beard’s signature step-back shot was inspired by Mr. Pat Bev himself.
“There was a time when he wasn?t even doing step-backs?,” said Beverley. He further added, “we was playing ones and s?, my first two years in the NBA and every move I did I finished with a step-back? ?Aye, remember when you told me why you always stepping back??? I hit him up a year ago? He goes, ‘yeah you were onto something’ “
The Chicago Bulls star casually admitted to giving Harden one of his most iconic moves while playing with each other. It is a huge revelation if true, but fans don’t seem to believe in the extravagant Chicago Bulls’ defender’s words. Instead, they ended up ensuing a trolling spree for the 34-year-old.
