Brittney Griner was heading into Russia to make another mark in her basketball journey. However, in February, the former number one pick was detained. And for the past five months, Griner is yet to be close to returning back home. Recently, it took a turn for the worse as her trial ended with a Russian court sentencing her to nine years in prison.
