Holiday’s Social Impact Fund
When the NBA decided to take the league to the bubble in Orlando, Jrue Holiday was contemplating sitting out the season. When he opened up about this to his wife, Lauren suggested he could give his salary from the bubble to charity. The two-time teammate of the year liked the idea and decided to continue playing.
As per reports from Sports Illustrated, Holiday made around $5.3 million. However, the couple did not give it to charity. They wanted to impact more lives and formed the Jrue and Lauren Holiday Social Impact Fund. The fund was formed to help black-owned businesses which struggle to get loans from banks.
