The Brooklyn Nets really do deserve applause for keeping themselves at the top of the Eastern Conference despite having players off their roster left and right because of the league’s health and safety protocols. And as one good news comes to light, another bad news makes it’s way out as well. The Nets are finally transitioning Kyrie Irving back to the court but don’t get too excited because Kevin Durant will be missing the next game against the Orlando Magic. In fact, not just him but ten other players.

Kevin Durant is another addition to the Nets’ injury report

When the 2021-22 season began, Kyrie Irving sitting out of games was a big blow for the Nets. Or so they thought. No matter what came their way after, Kevin Durant and Co. rallied past teams and took the court by storm almost every single night. It is because of that they are holding a 21-8 record and are on a four-game winning streak.

However, all good things eventually come to an end. While Durant has been playing like an absolute beast, fans will be missing out on his action as Brooklyn takes over Orlando next. Not just that, but there are ten more players who have been put on the injury list for the game. This is amidst the organization trying to bring Irving back to play for their road games.

Will Orlando Magic be able to take advantage of the depleted Brooklyn Nets?

Unfortunately, the Orlando Magic isn’t in very great shape as well. Like the Nets, most of their players are also ruled out because of the league’s health and safety protocols. Other than that, only Cole Anthony is questionable as of now because of a right ankle sprain.

And this is a team that hasn’t won a single game this entire month. They have lost seven games in a row and against a team like the Nets, who have been able to power through games despite absences, it won’t be a cake-walk. Sure, KD’s absence will be a big hit and makes them even more vulnerable, but it still seems like a no-brainer.
