LeBron James‘ elder son, Bronny James, is significantly improving his skill set as an athlete as he gains experience on the court. Many initially had reservations about Bronny’s ability to make it to the NBA. However, in recent months, Bronny’s performances have caught the eye of scouts and analysts, enhancing his draft value. Meanwhile, a former NBA star, who had previously praised Bronny’s talents, dived into the young prodigy’s lifestyle.
At first, Bronny’s detractors had predicted that he would go undrafted and rely exclusively on his father’s name to land himself in the league. According to ESPN, however, he is now predicted to be the 10th overall pick in the much-awaited 2024 NBA Draft.

In a recent episode of the podcast No Chill with Gilbert Arenas, the crew comprising Arenas and Josiah Johnson were joined by NFL star, Julian Edelman. After discussing LeBron James’ rumored move to the Dallas Mavericks to team up with Kyrie Irving, they dived deep into Bronny’s affluent lifestyle.
Gil said, “Bronny does live on his own, lowkey. Lowkey Bronny is like his own entity, that’s the funny part. Bronny like, they live in Beverly Hills, and Bronny lives in Porter Ranch.” Arenas, however, admitted that LeBron’s younger son, Bryce, is built more like his father. Edelman mentioned how kids of former stars tend to underperform because they lack that hunger to succeed.
The former Washington Wizards star replied that it used to be the case in his generation, but now the kids don’t have the same problems. “The money actually plays a big factor,” admitted Arenas. Even though they might not have a great hunger to be successful, they have the work ethic to succeed because of all the money being put into their training.
Arenas further revealed that Bronny became a “workaholic” in the 10th-11th grade after having fun in the earlier years. Brony James has committed to USC which will allow him to stay closer to home. This was not the first time that Gilbert Arenas commented on Bronny James, though.

LeBron James once approached Gilbert Arenas for a favor
In an interview with VladTV a few months ago, Gilbert Arenas revealed when LeBron James had a request for him. LeBron reportedly asked Arenas to watch over his kid Bronny. Arenas felt that the intent of this request was to determine whether Bronny was ready for the level of media attention that LeBron and his son were going to receive when he joined the league.

Arenas followed LeBron’s instructions while closely observing Bronny. Following that, he informed LeBron, “You don’t have nothing to worry about.”Arenas observed parallels between LeBron and Bronny in terms of their quickness, basketball savvy, and zeal for the game. He then concluded that if Bronny added a few more inches, then he’d basically be LeBron.
