Kevin Durant and the Brooklyn Nets faced Ja Morant’s Memphis Grizzlies on Monday night. The game took place on October 24 at the FedExForum. The game was a treat for Grizzlies fans as their team beat the Nets by 134-124. Despite KD’s impressive score, the Nets were unable to secure a win. However, the Grizzlies’ win was not the only highlight of the night.

Grizzlies star Ja Morant?scored 38 points, 7 assists, and 8 rebounds. Assisting him was Desmond Bane who scored additional 38 points with 7 assists and 1 rebound. On the other hand, Kevin Durant averaged 37 points, 4 assists, and 5 rebounds. Fellow teammate Kyrie Irving added 37 points, 5 assists, and 8 rebounds. Evidently, KD had praised Ja Morant for his incredible basketball skills. A day before the Nets vs Grizzlies game, Durant was asked if he knew anyone else who had the same game style as Morant.

“Nobody really. He’s a unique player. A lot of athleticism and creativity out there. Body type reminds you of somebody like — well he’s taller than A.I. [Allen Iverson], but a wiry, strong player…but he’s an incredible player, man,” said KD.

While it really was a celebratory night for the Grizzlies, a certain incident that took place right before the game managed to garner enough attention as well.

Before the game started, some courtside Memphis Grizzlies fans tried recruiting the two-time NBA champion. In a video, the fans could be heard asking KD to “come to Memphis!”?The Brooklyn Nets star could not ignore their pleas as he gave them several glances and a shy smile.

The video instantly went viral and the NBA world immediately took to Twitter to comment on the incident. While some commented that KD was blushing, others speculated that the 12x NBA All-Star sure did find the idea of a trade request tempting. KD had previously requested the Nets for a trade during the off-season.

This was the Grizzlies’ third win out of the four games they have played so far this season. Whereas, the Nets have only played three games and won just once. The Brooklyn Nets are scheduled to face the Milwaukee Bucks on Wednesday night, October 26.
