Fans would have hoped the Brooklyn Nets could balance their negative lens with some positivity. The tips though, scale dangerously to one side. Nothing seems to be working and no one seems to be playing well. Ben Simmons is just one of their many problems. On Tuesday night, the game between the Brooklyn Nets and Chicago Bulls saw a new blow to the Nets team.

Kyrie Irving scored a mere 4 points the whole game. Fans have ridiculed him and associated his performance with that of Ben Simmons. Irving made 7 assists and 6 rebounds. Others joked that Simmons wouldn’t even have made those 4 points.

Fans are wondering what has happened to the dream team. Before the regular season commenced, the franchise and fans had high expectations pinned on the team. With Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, and Ben Simmons at its helm, people were eager to watch them play together on the hardwood.

But the enthusiasm has been short-lived, if not deflated. Their performances showed poor collaboration within the team. Players haven’t shown much improvement either.

With Steve Nash and the Brooklyn Nets recently parting ways, there are rumors that Ime Udoka could become the team’s next head coach.

If not Ben Simmons, what could be the Nets’ problem?

Many including Charles Barkley believe that Steve Nash was a scapegoat. They observed that the team had far more problems that couldn’t be erased by just replacing the coach.

Should Udoka join the team, he would likely have to deal with several internal issues. Kevin Durant made a trade request earlier this year. Ben Simmons and his series of airballs and poor performances have not contributed in any way. And Kyrie Irving hasn’t hit form just yet. He has also been under fire for his controversial comments.

The team as a whole has not played great basketball and has under-delivered in almost every game. The Nets now have a 2-6 record in the season so far.

The Nets seem to be in a desperate position to have someone as their coach. Furthermore, it is worth noting that the team has changed its coach for the fourth time in the last six seasons.

The Brooklyn Nets have undoubtedly been unstable, at best.
