Washington Wizards power forward, Kyle Kuzma was a reserve for the Los Angeles Lakers before signing his current contract with the Wizards. Since then, following his trade in 2021, he has grown into one of the instrumental players for the Washington side. However, after spending over a year in Washington, the power forward has made some claims regarding his future. According to reports, Kuzma does not wish to sign an extension with the Wizards. Upon hearing this news, NBA fans expressed their thoughts on social media.

Kuzma who would have a year left in his $39 million three-year contract with the Wizards at the end of the current season, has thought of declining his player option. Along with wanting to be a free agent before the start of the 2023-24 season. The 27-year-old is looking forward to a new option in the coming year. Regarding the announcement, he stated, “Those are just business decisions.”?
Therefore, his claims are not a surprise for the Wizards’ front office, as Kuzma has made himself one of the most promising players in the league. It seems like he would attract a lot of offers by entering the free agent market. The 27-year-old is currently averaging around 21.4 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 3.6 assists.
