Recently, Cherelle revealed what is going on with Brittney Griner inside a Russian prison. According to Cherelle Griner, her wife is at her ‘weakest moment’ currently.
She also talked about how Griner is afraid of people forgetting about her. In fact, she conveyed a strong message for everyone who have spoken out against her release. “Like, y’all don’t see the need to get me back home? Am I just nothing?“, said Griner, according to her wife.
The officials of both countries have been trying to find a solution for quite some time now. However, it is nowhere close to fruition as negotiations have been tough. According to the latest reports, the court will be hearing appeals from Griner’s side on the 25th of October.
The WNBA has been fully in support of Brittney Griner
Controversial or not, Brittney Griner was one of the best players in the WNBA playing for the Phoenix Mercury. Ever since her arrest in August, the WNBA and its players have supported Griner openly.
Ahead of the WNBA draft, the commissioner talked about Griner’s situation. She said, “I did want to start by saying we continue to be working diligently on bringing Brittney Griner home. This is an unimaginable situation for BG to be in.“

Griner was picked by the Phoenix Mercury as the #1 overall pick in the 2013 WNBA draft. She has won numerous accolades since her much-anticipated debut. Griner is a two-time Olympic Gold Medalist and a eight-time WNBA All-Star.
