Everybody who follows the WNBA star knows her love for tattoos. After hooping, getting new tattoos is certainly the favorite thing for the 2014 WNBA champion. In fact, Griner has one of the best tattoo collections in basketball and recently decided to add one to her collection to commemorate the late rapper.

The Phoenix Mercury star recently shared a photo on her Instagram stories. In the photo, the eight-time All-Star could be seen showcasing her new tattoo of 2Pac. She captioned the photo, “@jnl_tattoo Killed it yesterday for me. More to come soon.”

Griner’s caption implied that she was going to have more tattoos on her body in near future. Interestingly, she also commended the tattoo artist for recreating the image of 2pac as a tattoo on her body.

Griner wasn’t allowed to display her tattoos during games

The 2014 WNBA champion has a plethora of tattoos on her whole body that fans could see whenever she steps on the floor. But during her college years, she was not allowed to portray them. The eight-time All-Star studied at Baylor University in Waco, Texas, and her (then) coach Kim Mulkey didn’t like those body designs. In an interview with ESPN, her former teammate Brooklyn Pope said, “Brittney couldn’t show those tattoos or talk openly because it was Baylor. It would have been frowned upon.”
