Controversial WNBA star Brittney Griner has the whole world talking. After her arrest in Russia earlier this year, she has been the center of attention in the media. However, this is not the first time she is facing such a situation.
Griner has always been a controversial figure. A few years ago, she was all over the news for her views on the National Anthem. However, there are also numerous people around the world who look up to her as an inspiration.

Griner is a people pleaser and she doesn’t like saying no. The Phoenix Mercury star revealed this in her book ‘In My Skin: My Life On and Off the Basketball Court’. She also revealed that she has been facing hate ever since her childhood and she has ‘swallowed’ it all.

Interestingly enough, whenever Griner likes to talk about how she is a people pleaser, people have reacted in a negative way. Griner wrote, “This part of my personality tends to surprise people. They know me only as a six-foot-eight basketball player, the one who doesn’t back down, who plays hard, dunks with authority, and lives openly.“
