Brian Windhorst on LeBron James and the Lakers
Windhorst started off with 2 key points when questioned about the Lakers’ future with regards to LeBron’s All-Star Weekend statements. The first point explained the fact that LeBron’s concerns are always based on making improvements in the present. He added that LeBron could change his mind on the Lakers if the franchise did not make any improvements in the upcoming off-season.
The second point explained the fact that the ‘King’ speaks out when someone says something on his behalf that isn’t in line with what he feels. An example of this point was the inaction from Lakers GM, Rob Pelinka, at the trade deadline, which made LeBron ‘hot’. Thereafter, he added the following.

“Of course, LeBron knows he had a major role in assembling this roster. But Kevin, he does not care. He is all about what you can do for me now,” said Windhorst.
Furthermore, he added that LeBron’s willingness to play with his son is unrelated to what the ‘King’ wants from the Lakers presently. Clearly, the Lakers have their backs against the wall this season. However, they will hope to bring their ‘A-game’ every night, especially since no trades happened.
