With a few weeks remaining for the NBA trade deadline, teams are looking to make moves. The biggest talk of the market currently is the possible trade of Ben Simmons and James Harden. A move that will see Harden join the Philadelphia 76ers.

After failing to move to Philadelphia in the offseason after leaving Houston, Harden joined the Brooklyn Nets. And now NBA teams have asked for an investigation into the 76ers and Harden deal.

According to an NBA insider, teams are ready to get the league involved as they fear a case of collusion between the Philadelphia 76ers and the James Harden deal. Take a look.

NBA teams ask for investigation in James Harden deal 

Despite reports saying the Brooklyn Nets not entertaining a James Harden departure, some rumors say otherwise. The Nets star is incredibly close to the 76ers co-owner Michael Rubin and could move to Philadelphia during the offseason.

With the 76ers trying to offload Ben Simmons, he will be key in a deal to sign Harden. According to reports by an NBA insider, some NBA teams are suspicious of the deal.

Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports reported, “Some front-office executives are prepared to when the time comes if a deal does look like it’s about to transpire where there could be some potential sign-and-trade in the offseason.

He adds, “They’re prepared to get the league involved on a potential collusion case dating back to what they believe could be going on right now. You know, as to why we’re probably hearing a lot of Philadelphia, James Harden talk.

Harden to Philadelphia?

One of the hottest rumors going around in the trade market right now revolves around Harden. The Philadelphia 76ers are trying to offload Ben Simmons, with no success. Recently, the 76ers front office revealed their plans for Simmons.

The Athletic reported the plans for keeping Simmons till the summer. The reason being? Bringing in a superstar like James Harden to Philadelphia.

Although nothing is clear as of yet, seeing Harden in a 76ers jersey will not be impossible. The Brooklyn Nets star has excellent relations with Daryl Morey, the president of the Philadelphia 76ers. The two have worked together before in Houston and Morey is a big fan of the player.

Speaking on a radio broadcast, Morey mentioned, “the team is looking for a deal that makes us a championship contender.” Harden immediately comes into the picture owing to the rumors flying around.

With the 76ers failing to sign Harden after he left the Houston Rockets, Simmons will play a big part in bringing a name like Harden to the team.
