Nikola Jokic is a quiet player on the floor and deservingly takes a high pride in his skills. Hence, when Markieff Morris fouled the reigning MVP in their matchup against the Miami Heat, all hell broke loose. Jokic retaliated by pushing Markieff from behind and got ejected. Now, the NBA is on his tail and is taking action.
Normally, Jokic is never in the spotlight for any controversy. The big man puts it out on the floor and is often seen on the comic side of things, always keeping his jokes handy. However, since the Nuggets’ playoff loss to the Suns last year, it seems something has ticked him off. At least his incident with Morris points towards the same.

This is a welcoming move by the league as it hit their reputation big time. Nowadays, even verbal disputes get players in trouble. However, in an altercation such as this one, these punishments may be considered lenient.
The last time something like this took place was in the game between Houston Rockets and the Los Angeles Lakers. Three players, Chris Paul, Rajon Rondo, and Brandon Ingram, had received suspensions for getting into an altercation in the middle of the game.
