Ahead of the 2021-22 edition of the league, the Brooklyn Nets start as strong favorites. However, a recent fallout has left their chances in jeopardy. Now, a key figure in their setup – Kyrie Irving may be on his way out. Due to some personal issues, the player and the team have had some mismatch in their equation, and things are at a standstill. In the latest addition to the saga, the Nets have released an official statement on the situation.
29-year-old Kyrie Irving is a proven match-winner. With a fit trio of superstars in Durant, Irving and Harden, the Nets looked deadlier than ever. However, owing to an internal dispute, the franchise took a late call that they wish to trade the All-star. This would leave the team fending for themselves, if they cannot find a replacement soon. The former NBA champion however, has reportedly contemplated retirement if he makes an exit from the franchise. And the latest statement will not please him either.
