According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, “Steve Nash, Joe Tsai, and Sean Marks met with Kevin Durant and Rich Kleiman in Los Angeles on Monday and have decided to move forward with partnership, Nets say.“

Moreover, he revealed that the officials along with Durant and his team met on Monday to decide Durant’s future. As things stand, Kevin Durant will continue playing for the Brooklyn Nets.
An official statement from the Nets confirmed the same. Durant will play another season for the Brooklyn Nets and, according to the statement, ‘build a lasting franchise to bring a championship to Brooklyn’.

The long Kevin Durant saga nears its end
The Brooklyn Nets once boasted of having the trio of Kevin Durant, James Harden, and Kyrie Irving on their roster. However, a few months ago, it seemed all of their stars were looking to leave.
Harden already had joined the Philadelphia 76ers while both KD and Irving were looking to leave. Despite pressure from teams all across the NBA, it seems both Durant and Irving will continue in Brooklyn.

While the Lakers were looking to recruit Irving, teams like the Phoenix Suns and the Boston Celtics were behind Kevin Durant. However, the latest reports on KD confirm that he will stay for another season.
Durant averaged 29.9 points, 6.4 assists, and 7.4 rebounds for the 2021-22 season. The Nets faced an early exit from the NBA playoffs as they fell short to the Celtics in the first round of the playoffs. Needless to say, with this big KD news, the team will certainly look to improve their performance next season.
