The Boston Celtics took a huge advantage in the NBA Finals. Coming home for Game 3, they lit up the TD Garden as they dominated the Golden State Warriors. The crowd was electrifying and gave it to the Bay all night long.

In addition, even former Celtics player Paul Pierce got in on the action. As Boston put their foot on the gas, Pierce went off on a couple of Warriors fans.

Boston is one of the most successful organizations in the league. Notably, they are tied for the most titles with the Los Angeles Lakers. With an opportunity to rise to the top, the Celtics came charging in for Game 3.

They sent a message from the starting buzzer and never dropped their energy. With a 2-1 lead in the series, the Garden crowd was talking their trash. And Pierce joined in on the action.

He went after a couple of Bay area fans and told them to take a seat as their team’s hopes were slipping away.

Paul Pierce trash talks to Warriors fans

With the hype all around the home team, the crowd was going crazy. Every point Boston scored, it felt like they had won the game. The crowd made it really hard for the Warriors as chants were alive all through the night. While the players being the subjects of trash talk from fans made sense, Pierce took a different approach.

He went after the Warriors‘ fanbase. As the Celtics took over, the former NBA champion started jawing at some fans who had seemingly done nothing to get such treatment from him.

He said: “Sit down. Look at these idiots right here, look at these idiots. F**king idiots.”

Watching the team he lifted a championship with get close to another triumph may have got out the chippy side of Pierce. However, it was a horrid day for the Warriors fans who hold on to their comeback. Stephen Curry and co. did the hard work and got back in a came which looked impossible.

But even after taking the lead late in the game, the home team proved too much. Jayson Tatum led the way for the Celtics to charge back in and absolutely demolish the Warriors in Game 3.

With another game left in Boston, the six-time champions have a mammoth task in front of them. The crowd is going to be loud yet again and the chants won’t be kind. But it is up to them to cancel out the noise.
