NBA buffs believe the Los Angeles Lakers have made a few great additions to the team before the trade deadline. Even though the team could not get the veteran guard Kyrie Irving, fans are happy to see that LeBron James has got some support. Although a few believe?Russell Westbrook should not have been moved, considering what he brings to the team. Recent news from a Lakers reporter has stirred up heat among fans toward the Lakers GM.?

Rob Pelinka, who was committed to making additions that will be useful for LeBron James and the team, believes he has delivered. Although some fans seem to have a different perspective on his recent statement.

Westbrook was recently traded to the Utah Jazz?in a three-team deal, where the Lakers received D’Angelo Russell. The 6’3″ guard, who is averaging 15.9 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 7.5 assists so far this season, was efficient off the bench for the Lakers. However, he ended up getting traded a few hours before the deadline. Fans believe Pelinka to be the one responsible for the trade.

However, Pelinka’s recent statement on the moves has caught the attention of the fans. According to a recent tweet by Lakers reporter Jovan Buha of The Athletic,?“Pelinka said he checked in with both LeBron James and Anthony Davis on all of the moves ahead of the deadline.”?

Pelinka seemingly informed the league of the involvement of LeBron James and Anthony Davis in all the trade moves made by the Lakers. However, fans do not seem to buy Pelinka’s take on getting rid of Russell Westbrook.

Westbrook plans to join a second LA unit

Notably, Russell Westbrook is reportedly expected to join the Los Angeles Clippers in case the Utah Jazz decide to buy him out. The Clippers are seriously pursuing the 2017 MVP, as they still have their PG slot left open. After trading both their main point guards John Wall and Reggie Jackson, the Clippers seem to have their eyes set on Westbrook.
