Mind-blowing features of Michael Jordan’s iconic mansion in Chicago
Michael Jordan’s property, located in the Highland park area in Chicago, is a luxurious mansion with world-class features. The 56,000 Sq.ft estate has nine bedrooms, nineteen bathrooms, and a host of luxurious amenities.
The Multi-acre estate has a driveway with trees on both sides, leading to the massive property. As Jordan built the property from the ground up, he designed it to his tastes. The mansion includes world-class features that are truly astonishing. The mansion has an indoor full-size personalized basketball court, an infinity pool, a pond, a wine cellar, a movie theater, skylights, a poker room, an outdoor tennis court, a golf course, and much more.
One of the rarest possessions Michael owns from that house is an eight-seat dining table. It features a special geometric design resembling the streets of Baghdad, Iran. The listing agent confirmed that the table was custom made for MJ.
Though some of the above features are common among other multi-million dollar estates, some of the things that truly make this mansion stand out from the rest are; the putting holes on the golf course have the Jordan logo on the flags, a cigar room, doors from the original Playboy mansion, the entry gates of the estate have the iconic number 23 welded onto them, and more. Jordan has spent time, energy, and a lot of money to make these customizations over the years.
The mansion fails to find any takers even after a decade
Michael Jordan played for the Chicago Bulls. After winning his first championship, Jordan purchased the estate in the Highland park area, which stands on the outskirts of Chicago, for just north of $2 Million. He bought the estate with his wife, Juanita Venoy, in 1991. Jordan built the entire mansion from the ground up and made numerous customizations on the property. However, after living in the mansion for 19 years, Jordan put it on the market in 2012.

Ten years later, the luxurious mansion remains vacant without a buyer. Jordan listed the estate on the market with an asking price of $29 Million. Jordan then dropped the price to $21 Million, and he further re-listed it at $16 Million. There were no buyers; thus, the price now stands at a far cry, $14.9 Million. The current price of $14.9 Million has an attached meaning to it; the numbers on the asking price add up to 23, which was the jersey number of Jordan.
