The world of the NBA pretty much resonates with countless stories of Michael Jordan‘s intense competitive spirit and absolute obsession with winning at every aspect of life. The Chicago Bulls legend was known for his otherworldly determination to dominate the game of basketball. Jordan influenced athletes across generations to always strive to be the best. However, His Airness recently had to swallow a bitter pill of humiliation against an NFL veteran in a game meant for children.
Rarely do we find stories involving Michael Jordan losing out against somebody in a competitive setup. Netflix’s The Last Dance had popularized the larger than life heroics of MJ during his stint with the Bulls. The popular docuseries has since then created an almost mythical image centering Michael Jordan among the masses. However, NFL veteran Marcellus Wiley has shared a story where he beat the 6x NBA Champion at a game that is usually for an 8-year-old.

In a recent video on his YouTube channel, Wiley described how he has gotten attached to Beyblade over the past few months. He said, “I had no idea what they were 6 months ago. Now, we have six thousand of them in our house.”
An excited Wiley continued to describe what a Beyblade is, in a way that only a 48-year-old can do. “These little things that look like discs, but at the bottom, they have that little spindle. You put ’em in this launcher and all you do is this [indicates pulling the launcher] and them s*ckers spin for like a minute or two.”
Subsequently, Wiley proceeded to detail the Beyblade game he had with the great Michael Jordan. The former Buffalo Bills defensive end revealed that he recently had a ‘best-of-three’ Beyblade competition against MJ.
Wiley said, “Also had a Beyblades competition against MJ. Him and I, we are on different sides, said GO and we both pull ’em. And these s*kers keep hitting each other until one of them taps out.”
Wiley described it as one of the most fun games ever. He continued, “We just finally get it done, I won yesterday, I won the best of three. So I am the champion in the house right now.”
