But Michael Jordan understands the importance of giving back to the community. In fact, his charitable donations amount to more than a lot of his luxuries combined.
Michael Jordan decides to contribute $100 million to his community
Michael Jordan has quite the resume as a billionaire owner of expensive utilities. Besides an $80 million yacht and a personal golf course worth $20 million in Florida; Jordan owns a variety of luxury cars, including a $2.2 million Bugatti.
Moreover, he enjoys the ownership of multiple sports franchises. He owns the NBA team representing his hometown of Charlotte, the Hornets. Besides this, he also owns the NASCAR team 23XI and is part-owner of the Miami Marlins with Derek Jeter.
However, Jordan’s contribution to the core causes plaguing our society is equally incredible. Last year, his Jordan brand took initiative to fight the root causes affecting the Black community. In fact, the Bulls legend donated $100 million to fight income equality and injustice in the community.

His brand looks to fund nonprofit organizations that work to bridge the gap in communities of color. Michael Jordan is involved with plenty of other charitable organizations. In fact, the popular charities he supports are the Make-A-Wish Foundation, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Nevada Cancer Institute, and the Boys and Girls Clubs of America amongst several others.

During the pandemic in 2020, he donated the proceeds from Netflix’s The Last Dance to Feeding America. The nonprofit used the $2 million donation in its venture to feed 46 million people in America affected by the pandemic.
