The Charlotte Hornets owned by NBA legend Michael Jordan has some of the most exciting young players in the league. However, their performances at the start of the season have definitely been below expectations. Moreover, their terrible home record might force the management to take some tough calls.
According to a report, if the team fails to mend its home record by December, the front office would be ready to sell some of its high-priced talents. However, such decisions would hardly come to fruition because of Jordan.

The six-time NBA champion is strictly against such decisions and also against tanking which could land them one of the most sought-after talents in the world.
Michael Jordan is not looking to tank in order to draft wonderkid
French wonderkid Victor Wembanyama has got the whole basketball world talking about him. He is already 7-foot-4 inches tall despite being only 18 years old.
He is set to enter next year’s draft with multiple teams across the league looking to tank in order to draft him as the #1 overall pick. However, this is not something that Michael Jordan would entertain.
According to an Eastern Conference GM, the team can possibly look to sell some of its biggest talents in order to reorder its roster. Jordan stands in the way as he is strictly against tactics like a fire sale and tanking.
The source reported, “He (Michael Jordan) has never OK’d something like that and it is not clear he would, even if it gets bad this year, even if it puts them in a good spot in the draft for Victor (Wembanyama). He has been pretty strong against tanking.”
With Wembanyama most certainly going #1 overall in next year’s draft, teams like the Houston Rockets and the Oklahoma City Thunder stand a strong chance to draft him. (Source: ESPN)
