The life of Kanye West took a major turn after his recent controversy. The Donda artist lost billions in a matter of just 24 hours. The 45-year-old came under the barrel for his antisemitic approach. After his antics, all his brands cut ties with the American rapper. In addition, West also met rejection from Los Angeles Lakers forward, LeBron James. Despite using his iconic lyrics in his first Hollywood project, the King dropped the music artist from his hit show, ‘The Shop’.

Modern fans best know James’ Hollywood gig in ‘Space Jam’. The second edition of Michael Jordan’s basketball maestro with Disney was the first time NBA fans saw the King as the main character. However, his debut on the big stage came in 2015 in the comedic film, ‘Trainwreck’. Sharing the screen with comedy geniuses such as Bill Hader, John Cena, and Amy Schumer, the movie was a laughter smash.

LeBron James only had a few scenes in the film. However, he aced his character as Hader’s best friend in the movie. One of his most iconic scenes from the 2015 film was when he recited the verse to Kanye West’s ‘Gold Digger’.

The four-time MVP was nervous in his first feature film, ‘Trainwreck‘. Working alongside a cast with a mastery in the world of comedy, many might think James didn’t fair out well. However, the 37-year-old managed to impress the lead, Hader. According to him, LeBron James didn’t need any help and was a natural in front of the camera. And the King’s true excellence was on show when he gave Hader’s character life advice in the form of Kanye’s lyrics.

Hader was astonished at the Los Angeles Lakers forward’s unbelievable improvising skills. He even said, “I couldn’t do that with my favorite song in the world” when James recited West’s ‘Gold Digger’ lyrics.

Years after helping James impress his co-stars, Kanye West won’t be feeling the same love back. Notably, Ye was supposed to appear in an episode of ‘The Shop’ co-produced by the 18-time All-Star. However, LeBron James revealed how the episode was used to reiterate further hate speech. Hence, they took the call to not air his episode to the audience. From James’ point of view, his reputation would be on the line. The 37-year-old made his reason clear, he doesn’t represent any form of hate to any community. Hence, he chose to scrap the episode with Ye completely.
