Jay-Z has name-dropped LeBron several times over his career as a music producer. Arguably, his most popular song, ‘Empire State of Mind,’ gave a shout-out to the King as well. ‘Blow The Whistle’ is another Jay-Z song that features LeBron’s name. Jay-Z featured in a song recently, with producer DJ Khaled, and Rick Ross, on the song ‘GOD DID.’ It was not surprising that one of the verses in the song had a mention of LeBron James.

The lyrics gave a shout-out to fellow icons in the industry like Kanye West and Rihanna as well. Jay-Z went on to pay his respect to LeBron James even though he is not part of the Hip-Hop industry.

LeBron also loved the song and even tweeted about it a couple times. It is well known that LeBron is with great terms with “Hov” and this was just another example of mutual respect between the two superstars.
