The Portland Trail Blazers suffered a huge loss to the Indiana Pacers. Not having some of their premiere stars, the Trail Blazers have had things rough. However, things went downhill even further after center Jusuf Nurkic and a Pacer’s fan got into a heated argument. This left NBA fans distasteful after Nurkic acted out of line with the Pacers’ fan by throwing his phone away.

Jusuf Nurkic has often been in the face of controversy or drama. He has even gone after NBA players such as LeBron James. While it may not end in his favor, Nurkic isn’t afraid to speak out. Now that he can’t help his team in any way, Nurkic had a lot of frustrations after suffering a humiliating loss on the road. Hence, when a fan started heckling at him, he went right up to his face.

Jusuf Nurkic throws NBA fan’s phone

After a huge loss on the road, Nurkic was walking back. However, a fan of the Pacers rubbed in the loss and heckled at the big man. This did not sit well with Nurkic at that moment. He went right up to the fan and took his phone away. Nurkic chucked his phone away in the stands and gave him a few words before going away. Likewise, NBA fans were not happy with the center’s behavior and went after the Blazers star.

The mistake came in from both sides in the incident. There is no excuse for Nurkic to throw away a fan’s phone. He should have ignored the fan and gone his separate way. Conversely, fans also need to maintain decorum while being in the arena. If they step out of line, consequences are likely to follow. Especially if you go for the losing side.

The Blazers were humiliated going on the road. Josh Hart continued his rise among the ranks, racking up 26 points, 3 rebounds, and 4 assists while shooting an unreal 84%. However, despite his efforts, the Blazers cast couldn’t keep up. Playing without their leading scorers, Portland struggled to get any offense going as they shot just 27% from downtown as a team. On the other hand, the home team was rolling.

Led by Oshea Brissett’s 24 points and 9 rebounds, the Pacers dominated proceedings. They shot 57% from the field as a team. The Blazers had no answer to their offense as the Pacers came up with 15 more assists than the away team. Despite Haliburton and Buddy Hield not having major contributions, the Pacers won the game 129-98.
