The Thursday night game between the Sixers and Celtics saw players from both sides produce a prolific defense, restricting the other to under 100 points. Even though the Celtics produced a considerable lead of 7 points in the first half, the team’s star Jayson Tatum barely dropped buckets. Notably, he scored 1 point on 0-10 FG in the first half. 

However, Tatum balanced his poor first-half performance with an outstanding fourth-quarter outburst and eventually led the Celtics to a comfortable 9-point win. The star ended up dropping 19 points in the game, out of which 16 points were dropped in the fourth quarter. After the 16-point run in the last quarter, Tatum joined in for a quick chat with ESPN’s interviewer on his performance.

However, he left fans perplexed by his statement. He said, “Humbly, I’m one of the best basketball players in the world.” 

A fan on social media, disappointed with the statement, said, “Biggest cap ever.” The star had also faced a controversy in this series after shoving a referee in game 2.
