The Thursday night game between the Sixers and Celtics saw players from both sides produce a prolific defense, restricting the other to under 100 points. Even though the Celtics produced a considerable lead of 7 points in the first half, the team’s star Jayson Tatum barely dropped buckets. Notably, he scored 1 point on 0-10 FG in the first half.
However, Tatum balanced his poor first-half performance with an outstanding fourth-quarter outburst and eventually led the Celtics to a comfortable 9-point win. The star ended up dropping 19 points in the game, out of which 16 points were dropped in the fourth quarter. After the 16-point run in the last quarter, Tatum joined in for a quick chat with ESPN’s interviewer on his performance.
However, he left fans perplexed by his statement. He said, “Humbly, I’m one of the best basketball players in the world.”

Despite his triggering claim, he credited his teammates, Malcolm Brogdon, Jaylen Brown and Marcus Smart, in the interview for supporting and trusting him throughout the stretch. However, he had to face the wrath of the sporting world.
