Griner’s faithfulness towards the United States of America is also a highly debatable issue. While many bash her for being unfaithful, the diplomat that brought back Griner described her as a ‘patriotic person’.

US diplomat talks about meeting Brittney Griner

Phoenix Mercury star Brittney Griner spent 10 months in Russia and the officials played a huge role in ensuring she comes back home. US diplomat Roger Carstens brought Griner back to the United States from the UAE after she was released by Russia.
