Fellow teammate Mikal Bridges added 13 more points with 6 assists and 7 rebounds. However, their efforts still turned out to be insufficient to beat their opponents on the night.

On the other hand, the Portland Trail Blazers seem to be on a roll this season. The team played their season opener game against the Sacramento Kings on October 20, 2022. They beat the Kings by 115-108 led by the highest scorer Jerami Grant with 23 points, 8 rebounds, and 1 assist. Teammate Anfernee Simons added 22 points, with 3 rebounds, and 2 assists.

Furthermore, in the game against the Suns, Simons also made the winning shot, helping the Trail Blazers win their second consecutive game of the season.
