The long-standing hold-out between Ben Simmons and the Philadelphia 76ers ended at the trade deadline. Simmons wanted a move away from the Sixers and he refused to play, citing mental health concerns. And he got his wish as he was traded to the Brooklyn Nets in exchange for James Harden.

Simmons was also criticized for not reporting to play for the Sixers. Fans called him out and also accused him of faking his mental illness. He was also criticized for not giving Seth Curry and Andre Drummond an explanation, as they were also part of the trade. But Seth Curry says that Ben shouldn’t apologize to him or the 76ers. He says that it is a business and he shouldn’t apologize to anyone.

I understand the business; he doesn?t need to apologize to anybody. When he?s on the court, I know he?s going to do his job and he?s going to do what he does. So I understand the business.”
