Ben Simmons finally got the move he had been waiting all summer for. He was unhappy with his situation with Sixers and he got his wish fulfilled, when the Sixers sent him to the Brooklyn Nets in a blockbuster deal. Ben will be very happy with this move as he gets a chance to play with Kevin Durant, one of the greatest players ever.
The move sent shock waves throughout the league, as James Harden decided his time was up in Brooklyn. This bought an end to one of the greatest Big 3’s ever (atleast on paper). The Nets got another All-Star NBA player in return and a potential superstar who, with the right system, can become one of the best players in the league. They also got 2 starters in Seth Curry and Andre Drummond, who will help the Nets in critical areas.
Ben Simmons has not played a minute this season, and he also sat out every practice for the Sixers. He has not been in playing condition and will need some time to get back in the mold. However, he seems to have gelled with his new teammates already and the Nets recently shared a small clip of him and Kevin Durant on the court.

@WorldWideWob Remember how Pistons Blake Griffin made us believe he couldn't dunk. And the first play for Nets he dunks.
Just imagine in similar manner Ben Simmons first play for Nets and he drops a step back 3 pointer. The hell would break loose. https://t.co/l5Fr0QOedq— Abhinav Rane (@Abhynav9) February 14, 2022
Bruh people don’t understand that he’s a real game changer. “He can’t shoot.” That’s all people say to ignore his entire game. He’s still going to drop 15-20 on your head without shooting lol with 8 boards and 10 assist with shutdown defense. Hope he’s ready after the break.

If Ben Simmons can be, like, 90% of what he was last year by the playoffs & Kyrie can play home games, the Nets are winning it tall. BS a top 5 defender in the NBA & elite facilitator… Kyrie & Durant so good on offense they can go 4v5 w BS only playing defense if they have to. https://t.co/BoXFCDqsY8

It got to put Ben Simmons in the game. We need a win. He's ready. He doesn't need 6 months off. My boy Ben Simmons is going to show everybody what's up

How can Simmons fit in with the Nets?
When Simmons was at his best, he was one of the top 15 players in the league. He is a 6′ 11″ power forward who can play multiple positions. But he primarily plays at the point guard role that allows him to take advantage of smaller guards. He is an excellent finisher at the rim and his visions is out of this world. His defensive prowess and versatility make him one of the best perimeter defenders in the league.

The main flaw in Simmon’s game is his shooting. Or rather, the lack of it. Simmons is very hesitant to take jump shots, and this has made him a non-threat in late game situations. The Sixers pulled him out of the fourth quarter in multiple games last year. The Nets can hope that Durant can rub off on Simmons and guide him to be one of the best players in the league.
