The Brooklyn Nets recently fired their head coach and former league MVP, Steve Nash. Despite having talented players like Kyrie Irving, Kevin Durant, and others on the team, they failed to produce results.

As a result, the team took the decision to sack the head coach. With the whole world talking about the Nets, former NBA player and Irving supporter Kwame Brown gave his two cents.

According to Brown, this sacking was something he expected. When someone put the blame on Kyrie Irving for the whole situation, he lashed out. He also called out the management for putting Ben Simmons in bad situations and not playing him where he should be playing.

Brown said, “Well, they gonna blame Kyrie for everything right now. I blame the system, I blame that they’re putting Ben Simmons in bad situations. Here it is you got a guy that has been out for a whole year, either for injury or a little mental health, and you put this guy not in the best position.”

He further added, “You put him guarding Greek Freak, somebody that nobody can guard. Ben Simmons ain’t no dog like that, he need to be guarding them guards, he shouldn’t be down there with Greek Freak.”

Former Boston Celtics coach Ime Udoka is one of the biggest names linked to the Brooklyn Nets. After leading the Celtics to the NBA finals for the 2021-22 season, Udoka was given a month-long suspension for violating team policies.

With Nash’s firing, multiple reports link Udoka to the Nets. Interestingly enough, Udoka is still under contract with the Celtics but the team will not be asking for any compensation and will allow Udoka to move on.
