With her tremendous skills in soccer, Trinity Rodman has been making waves in the world of sports. She is the daughter of NBA legend Dennis Rodman. A contract worth $1.1 million was signed by her with the Washington Spirit, according to reports.

For the 19-year-old, it is a four-year contract. After this, she became one of the highest-paid athletes in the National Women’s Soccer League. As a result of the contract extension, her annual salary will be $281,000 per year. In addition to being a proud moment for her, her father was also touched by her achievement. In a podcast interview, the NBA legend shared some of his memories of his daughter growing up.

During the interview, he was asked about the most memorable moment in his NBA career. In reply, he talked about his daughter’s first experience of watching him play on the court. “I was really really happy my daughter first saw me play that was in 1997. You know she was sitting behind the bench and all you can see is her just standing up cheering stuff like that oh my god my daughter’s actually seen me play.”

Furthermore, he mentioned that she has achieved great things in her sport, as well as the journey and hard work she has put into achieving this position.

Since she joined the league as the youngest player in 2021, she has been one of the most recognizable players in the league. Her accomplishments did not stop there as she was also awarded ‘Rookie of the Year’ by NWSL.

Her accomplishments also include being named Young Player of the Year by US Soccer. In addition, she was the only woman from her team to visit the training camp of the US Women’s National Team.

Just as Dennis Rodman went on to make a great name for himself in the NBA world during his time, his daughter is carrying on the legacy in soccer as well. “We’re incredibly excited to have Trin as a part of the Spirit family for at least the next three seasons,” stated Spirit coach Kris Ward.
