Stephen Curry was born in Akron, Ohio, to NBA veteran Dell Curry and college volleyball player Sonya Curry. He grew up in Charlotte, Carolina, where his father played for the Charlotte Hornets. Steph would go on to enroll in the Davidson basketball program, where he played for the Davidson Wildcats. Stephen Curry would meet his future wife, Ayesha Curry, in a church youth group in Carolina at 15.

From an innocent teenage romance to a lifelong commitment. After making it to the NBA in 2009, Stephen Curry would find immense success in the league. In 2010, he proposed to his long-standing girlfriend, Ayesha Curry. The couple had gotten back to dating in 2008 when they met LA. They had met before when they were teenagers in Carolina, and they dated for a while in 2003. The proposal was very traditional and had all the cliche elements to it. It was a classic proposal; Steph was on his knees with a ring in his hand, asking her to be his wife. Ayesha Curry accepted the proposal, and the couple would get married on July 30, 2011.

The couple would welcome a new addition to the family in 2012. After a year of marriage, Ayesha would get pregnant with their first child – a baby girl. Steph was 23, and Ayesha was only 22 when they tied the knot. Being a young couple, Steph remarked they were pretty anxious about raising their first child.
