There are multiple reasons that have made LeBron-Kyrie and Durant-Westbrook very unlikely. Westbrook?s last season has been incredibly poor. There are only a few franchises who would still be interested in him after those stats. It would be a loose deal for the Nets if they were to replace Kyrie with Westbrook.
On the other hand, Irving had a dramatic season and proved to be unreliable. While the Nets are still willing to have him on the team, they are hesitant about offering him a max extension deal. The max extension contract has kind of become a deal breaker here, and he believes that he can get better offers in the free agent market.?

The chances of the Lakers acquiring Kyrie Irving from a free agent market are also quite less considering the cap space available. Kevin Durant?s decision to stay with Nets is also not clear, and he has been waiting for Kyrie to take a decision. LeBron has been in constant support of Westbrook. Yet he has not made comments about the management trying to trade him.?
