Rituals before games are commonplace in the world of professional sports. Athletes each have their distinctive methods for focusing on the present moment and mentally preparing for the upcoming challenge. Stephen Curry, the standout player for the Golden State Warriors, is one example of this. Curry is recognized for having a somewhat unusual pre-game routine.
However, Curry’s pre-game ritual took a surprising turn before their Game 4 matchup with the Los Angeles Lakers. He accidentally hit a reporter and the video went viral.

Curry was warming up before the game like he usually does on the court, clad in his jersey. The 35-year-old was pretty hyped up before the game and he had a t-shirt in his hand, all smooshed up to be used as a football. He then took a stride and threw his t-shirt without looking in that direction. Unfortunately, Michael Corvo, a Lakers beat reporter, was on the receiving end of the shirt throw. Corvo was recording a video while Steph threw his ‘football.’ He recently shared this video on Twitter.

The video had the caption, “Steph Curry hit me in the face with his shirt football cause I was filming and didn?t have my hands ready. Pass interference on me, penalty declined.”
Fortunately for Corvo, the hit didn’t injure the reporter.
LeBron James’ team takes the lead
With a score of 104-101, the Lakers defeated the Warriors in Game 4 of the NBA Western Conference Semifinals. The Lakers are currently leading the seven-game playoff series 3-1. One more victory would guarantee their place in the Conference Finals. Both sides put up a solid defensive effort in the opening period of the game, which saw the Lakers edge out the opponent by a single point. The Warriors took the lead in the second quarter, and the advantage they had in the first three-quarters of evenly matched play was maintained by the Warriors.

The Lakers, on the other hand, kept their best performance for the final quarter, outscoring the Warriors 27-17 to earn a three-point victory. Anthony Davis improved on his lackluster Game 3 effort, scoring 23 points and hauling 15 rebounds. With 27 points, nine rebounds, and six assists, LeBron James spearheaded the Lakers’ rise. However, the star of the day was Lonnie Walker IV who scored 15 points during the last quarter.
