Most NBA players go through a testing injury phase in their career. While most return to the hardwood quickly after recovery, some players take a long break depending on the severity of the injury. Similarly, the Orlando Magic’s rising star who suffered a series of injuries in the 2020-21 season is all set to return after a two-year-long break. However, NBA Twitter was flooded with praise for a pastor who announced the star’s return.

The Magic’s Jonathan Issac tore his ACL on August 2, 2020, in the NBA bubble. Issac also sustained a knee and a hamstring injury in the last two years. However, according to Shams Charania, The Athletic reporter, Issac could make his comeback against the Boston Celtics during the Monday night game. Notably, the Magic franchise picked Jonathan Issac as the sixth overall in the 2017 NBA Draft. The 6’11 star is a versatile defensive player averaging 15.7 points before his injury.

NBA Twitter credits the pastor for Issac’s comeback

In a video shared by NBACentral Twitter, a pastor announced Issac’s return during a Church service. The pastor said, “That’s right, he will be returning to the court tomorrow, completely healed, completely healed, completely healed.” The Magic star was seen standing in front of the crowd clapping his hand as the Pastor announced his return. The crowd cheered along as the pastor repeated thrice.

Reacting to the video, NBA Twitter swarmed the comments with hilarious reactions. While certain sections of the fans expressed their opinion on the announcement, some fans put their meme game to use for hilarious reactions. Issac’s addition to the Magic roster

Currently, the Magic are in the 13th seed of the Eastern Conference points table with a (17-29) record. The Magic forward Franz Wagner has scored the most points among his teammates with  922 points averaging 22.5 points in 45 games. However, the fans feel that Jonathan Issac’s inclusion could make a difference in the Magic’s upcoming performances.
