With another dazzling performance, it looks like Steph Curry is out to prove something to his haters. His record-breaking performance against the Portland Trail Blazers on Sunday night is now topped with some more icing. Playing against the Sacramento Kings, Curry put up big numbers to defeat them by 137-106.
On Sunday, Curry showed all those who believe he can’t get things done without Klay Thompson that they were wrong. He crushed the Blazers with a 137-122 score by getting 62 points to his name.
This feat is even more of an achievement because he joined four other legends who are part of this elite record. This includes Kobe Bryant, Carmelo Anthony, Wilt Chamberlain, and Tracy McGrady. Curry went 18-31 from the field and had 5 rebounds and 4 assists.

On a video featuring Steph’s unforgettable night, Ayesha Curry jokingly wrote, “Oxtail, stew chicken, plantain and green banana. I’m just kidding. So proud of him. He never stops working hard and never loses the faith. It’s a blessing to witness.”

Before these two games, it looked like the Warriors might be going back to the bottom of the table this year as well. However, they stand 5th in the West with four wins and three losses. The only problem so far is the consistency of the supporting cast. They are definitely feeling Klay’s absence, but they have no choice but to buck up.
Unless they do that, the Warriors can only rely on Curry putting out such big performances every night. And that is an unfair expectation to have. If the Warriors want to go back to the league’s most dominant franchise, Curry can’t be the only one holding the fort.
