Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry recently hosted the ESPY awards, and he did a great job. He became only the second NBA player to host the ESPYs after LeBron James. But in one of his first times at the ESPY awards, Curry got stuck in the elevator with two iconic female athletes who have a combined net worth in excess of $120 Million.

Before Curry came into the NBA, he was a star at Davidson college. He was known for his spot-on shooting and phenomenal dribbling abilities. And in order to get into the NBA, Curry attended a lot of camps. He went to LeBron James’s camp, and he also went to Chris Paul’s camp.

And in the same summer, he visited the 2008 ESPY awards.

Curry was invited to the ESPYs, and he was in the company of legends. He said that he sat in front of the 2008 NBA champions Boston Celtics team. In fact, he was sitting behind Candace Parker and Lisa Leslie, who went on to become WNBA legends.

When he was at the awards, Curry got stuck in the elevator. But he was not alone. He was with Danica Patrick, the most successful women’s NASCAR driver, and Annika Sorenstam, one of the greatest female golfers of all time. Curry was star-struck seeing these two legends, whose combined net worth is over $120 Million. Curry is also an avid golfer, and it was a dream come true to meet Annika.

Me being a golfer, I was in awe of Annika,” Curry revealed.

After that, Curry would later go on to be drafted in the 2009 NBA draft by the Golden State Warriors. The Baby-Faced Assassin would go on to change the game of basketball as one of the pioneers of the three-point revolution.
