Giannis Antetokounmpo was already a champion as a compassionate person, well before winning his maiden NBA title. All of the Milwaukee Bucks leader’s previous interviews point towards his innate humbleness and ingenuity. Those characteristic traits helped him come from humble beginnings to make it huge in the highly competitive world of NBA.

But he did not do any of that alone. The Freak always had his brothers as his supporting wheels and his latest biography book covers it well. In a nutshell, Giannis is nothing if not for the love for his brothers and this makes his life’s story rather compelling.

How tight is the bond between Giannis Antetokounmpo and his brothers?

In a recent interview, the book’s celebrated author, Mirin Fader revealed how she went to Giannis’s home to find him cutting fruits like a regular human. She also spilled out how the Freak carries a black notebook to note down important happenings in his life. But more enticingly, she detailed his relationship with his brothers.

The author detailed, “There’s close and then there’s close close and they’re close close. Giannis, he told me he gets more nervous watching Alex, the youngest playing in a high school game than the Eastern Conference Finals. When I heard that, I was just like, oh my god Giannis I hope that’s not true. But it is true, Giannis not only is present and active in all his brothers’ lives, but he would coach their practices. Like I chart a couple practices that Giannis was at and he wasn’t just in the background, he was coaching, he was talking to the 12th man on the team.”

Notably, Alex is the youngest sibling, 19 years of age, and a professional player for UCAM Murcia (Spanish Liga ACB). Given that he skipped NCAA to play for the European league, his priorities seem clear.
