When Ray Young predicted huge success for Trae Young
Exactly eight years ago, on July 10th, 2013, Ray Young met with Danny Ainge and Brad Stevens. Danny served as the Celtics’ President of Basketball Operations for 13 years starting 2008 while Brad joined the C’s as a head coach on July 3, 2013.

Years later in 2018, the Hawks drafted a 19-YO Luka Doncic and swapped it with the Mavericks for Trae Young. The Celtics, as the fate would have it, were owners of pick #27 and all they could manage was center Robert Williams. While the Phoenix Suns would still be okay with a #1 DeAndre Ayton pick, who knows what would happen if the Kings had taken Trae #2.
