Being tall in the NBA definitely helps the players run through the hoops when they really need to.

But in rare cases, even those who can’t be surprised end up being evidently surprised, because the individual in question is so unique – different from not just the common person but equivalent to the best of the best in the business. Recently, one such person has made it to the social networks, which means they will be making it to the news soon.

Meet Marcus Sponder, the fifteen-year-old with a wingspan of 7’3

The Instagram account of Terrance Taylor introduces us to Marcus Sponder, a fifteen-year-old boy who has wowed everyone with his physique and his game. The video says that Marcus has already got offers from some universities to be on their basketball team. Here are some reasons why that would have happened.

Marcus stands very tall at 7’0, becoming one of the tallest people who could get into the NBA.  His wingspan is 7’3, and both these aspects will definitely be useful on the field and the court. The video shows him dunking and hooping on the ground and all of it looks very impressive.

His shoe size, at the age of fifteen, is 15, equivalent to Shaquille O’Neal, which has fans going into ‘that’s incredible’ mode right in the comments section. Shaquille O’Neal stands at 7’1.

Will Marcus Sponder create history in the NBA?

Marcus, of course, is at the beginning of his career and has a lot to achieve and prove. But with the kind of interest that he’s already getting, it seems that even the NBA crowd will be seeing him on the court pretty soon.

Several NBA legends started their career pretty early. There are some eighteen-year-olds who were drafted in the current NBA draft, and they will be playing with the NBA legends. Of course, some awkward conversations and interactions have already seeped online.

The crowd has already gone into comment mode with this person.

One of them said, “He big but he look 15 actually. I seen a lot of fake ages but he move like a 15 year old, he just big. But I could be wrong.“

Another one couldn’t help but ask the question, “What do they feed these kids?“

Another one thought that all this was wild. They posted, “That’s wild these kids now days be grown at 12.“

Yet another user had a simple reply, which was all of two words, “like shaq.”
