The thing about sports is, if fans are lucky, they get to witness history in the making. That is what draws people from all over the world to any game, particularly basketball. Someone is the top scorer, someone made an unbelievable dunk, and others threw many airballs! This historic feat though, during the Suns vs Clippers game recently didn’t seem to impress NBA fans.

Chris Paul or CP3, as he is known, joined some legendary company after making his 11,000th assist. Jason Kidd and John Stockton were the other names in the same boat, who also recorded 11k assists or more. In the match between the Suns and the Clippers, Paul recorded this history by launching a lob to Deandre Ayton.

The Suns player also goes down as the only player in history to also score 20,000 points alongside a massive 11,000 assists.

Fans downplay historic feat by Phoenix Suns’ CP3

Fans however were not happy with this achievement. Possibly, the metric of success in the game of basketball was only towards scoring and not assisting. They were perhaps harsh on social media, and quick to point out that Paul has zero rings. Some fans dismissed this achievement too.
