Los Angeles Lakers legend Magic Johnson always stays up to date with what’s happening in the world around him. Being in Los Angeles for the majority of his life, Magic shares close bonds with a lot of celebrities and music artists. So, it was natural for him to give a shout-out to three-time Grammy Award-winning artist, Ludacris, for finally getting his flowers.

Receiving a star on The Hollywood Walk of Fame is one of the most revered honors that can be bestowed upon a celebrity. From movie stars to world-class athletes, it is a sign of huge success. This was the case with the 45-year-old rapper too, as he got the recognition he deserved after years of making music.

After the news went viral, five-time NBA champion Magic Johnson went on to Twitter to share his excitement. Johnson tweeted, “I want to congratulate my boy @Ludacris for getting his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame today! Salute to his longtime manager Chaka Zulu! I’m glad he’s making a full recovery.”

For context to the second half of Johnson’s tweet, Ludacris’ manager Chaka Zulu got injured in a parking lot incident. Zulu got shot in gunfire when four people attacked him in the Buckhead area of Georgia last year. Luckily for him and his family, Zulu is on his way to making a full recovery.
