The NBA playoffs are as intense as they can be. As the games go on, tensions are rising among players and teams. We are still reeling from Draymond Green’s suspension in Game-3 following the incident with Domantas Sabonis in game-2. And now tensions are high between LeBron James‘ Los Angeles Lakers and the Ja Morant-led Memphis Grizzlies after a series of back-and-forth between the two team’s players.
The Grizzlies gave the Lakers a tough competition in game 2 securing a win and leveling the series 1-1. In the post-game press conference, a Grizzlies star took some jabs at King James ahead of game-3.

Following the game 1 loss, the Grizzlies returned to game-2 with renewed energy and even more aggressive defense tactics. The game did have some displays of hostility when Dillon Brooks stared down LeBron after he scored a 3-pointer.
If the look wasn’t enough, the Grizzlies’ forward made another attempt to get a rise out of the Akron Hammer. In the post-game interview, Brooks told the media that “He’s [LBJ] old. … I poke bears. I don’t respect no one till they come and give me 40.”
While the King has not engaged with Brooks’ antics, his teammates surely had something to say to the 27-year-old star.
Rui Hachimura responded to the Grizzlies star calling Lebron old, saying, “That’s all they can do. They’re a young team. They just want to talk. We don’t really care. We’re just going to play our game and try to win the game.”

LeBron James shares his perspective on petty insults
When asked for a response to Dillion Brook’s comment, the Akron Hammer in his post-game interview gracefully responded by saying, “I don’t wanna talk about it… Tomorrow’s gonna be a great game. I’m not here for the bulls**t. I am here to play and that’s it.”
