The Curry brothers are having a tough time in the playoffs with their respective teams. Stephen Curry‘s Golden State Warriors have lost their first two games against the Sacramento Kings. Whereas Seth Curry’s Brooklyn Nets have lost their two games against the Philadelphia 76ers. Despite that, their Dad Dell Curry recently revealed that they talk about everything but basketball in the household.
Dell was a professional basketball player himself, therefore he understands the pressure that comes with being a competitor at the highest level. That is why, the Curry family focuses on another sport where they’re more competitive than they are on the basketball court. After that, comes all the fun and the trash-talking.

Former Charlotte Hornets star recently talked to the media outlet People. He discussed the family values that his sons carry and what they do as a family to stay close. Talking about the rough patch in the playoffs, Dell said that both his sons are grown men now.
They have enough experience with being in the game to understand how this league is. Dell Curry said, “You can’t get too high or too low”, while talking about managing expectations and handling bad results. The proud father also said that he watches all their games, either live or taped. The proud father added that he tries “to check in with them every week.”
The 58-year-old revealed that the family talks more about his grandkids and their shared love for golf than basketball. His reason is that they are already surrounded by the world of basketball, so home should be the place to discuss other things. Dell also works as a play-by-play announcer for the Charlotte Hornets.

He said in the interview, “That’s the fun part about being a dad and a fan and knowing what they’re going through as far as being an NBA player. Sometimes, you just need to talk about everything but basketball when you’re having a rough patch.”
“The golf course is where they initiate the most [trash talk] with their dad when we’re out there. That’s where we have the most fun,” he added.
